From that research, they selected the franchise companies with the highest combined scores in innovation, leadership, and overall satisfaction to bring this year’s 100 Most Innovative Franchises.

Unique Business Model Combining Art and Entertainment: Painting with a Twist has revolutionized the concept of a night out by combining a painting class with a social, fun environment. Unlike traditional art classes, our events are designed to be informal, fun, and appealing even to those with no prior painting experience. This innovative approach has redefined entertainment, making art accessible and enjoyable for everyone.

Technology: As the leader in the paint & sip/DIY space, we have robust custom-built systems made specifically for our unique business model. Over time we have and will continue to expand on capabilities and enhance functionality to better serve our franchisees and the system overall.

Products & Offerings: Over the past 15 years, Painting with a Twist has grown tremendously in terms of our offerings to meet customer demand. We started with just one simple offering: a 16×20 canvas painting event and a minimal art library. Now, we have a 20,000 piece art library, a multitude of surface options ranging from canvas and shiplap to wood boards and wine glasses and dozens of special event types like Blacklight, trivia and Paint Your Pet to name just a few.  In 2022, we expanded our model to include daytime walk-in hours where customers could come create their own art on their own time. In 2023, we expanded this “Pop In” offering even further to include other DIY projects like serving trays and cutting boards, along with DIY candle making. All of these innovations have bolstered our brand and are a big reason why we remain top in category today!
